Coinfig turns exchange, wallet and CSV history into clear, defensible tax figures — with a completeness check before you ever rely on the numbers.
Coinfig reads your history straight from the origin — direct exchange API connections and our own full archival blockchain nodes. Nothing is inferred from a third-party indexer, so the figures trace back to ground truth.
Direct, read-only API connections to the venues you actually use — local and global — plus a universal CSV importer for everything else.
XagoOn-chain wallet coverage from our own full archival nodes — every historical balance and transfer verifiable down to the block.
Most tools calculate. Coinfig also tells you whether the calculation is built on complete data. The Data Completeness Score grades your year from 0–100 and gates the report — so you never file on a guess.
Schema, timestamps and types check out across every imported row.
What came in vs. what went out per asset — value-weighted so a R1 gap doesn't tank a clean year.
Transfers between your own wallets matched by hash, address and pair.
Transparent telemetry on backfilled and daily-close prices.
Link exchanges via read-only API, add wallet addresses, or upload a CSV. Read-only access is enforced throughout — Coinfig can never trade or move funds.
Run completeness checks and surface every gap, orphaned transfer and unknown event before you pay. No surprises at report time.
Walk through classifications, assumptions, tax year and method. Every change is logged and auditable.
Download a professional report with transparent assumptions, supporting schedules and a full audit trail ready for your accountant.
Keys are scoped to read-only and encrypted at rest. Coinfig can never trade, withdraw or move assets on your behalf.
Missing sources, unmatched transfers and fee gaps flagged before they reach a report — so you file on complete data.
Consistent, transparent valuation with backfilled prices clearly marked for review. SARB-aligned ZAR conversion rates.
Jurisdiction-aware accounting methods with the full working shown behind every figure — no black boxes.
Hand-off packs with supporting detail so a registered practitioner can verify your numbers, not rebuild them from scratch.
A single, dated, defensible PDF plus capital-gains, income and transaction schedules in both PDF and CSV formats.
Preview everything for free. Pay only when you're ready to generate your annual tax report.
CoinFig turns your exchange and wallet activity into clear, downloadable reports you can use to complete your South African tax return or share with your accountant.
Typical outputs include:
CoinFig is a calculation and reporting tool, not tax advice. If you're unsure how a specific event should be treated, it's best to confirm with a tax practitioner.
Yes – when you connect an exchange via API, CoinFig uses read-only access to import your transaction history. It can't place trades or move funds.
If you prefer not to connect an API key, you can also use CSV imports from most exchanges.
CoinFig includes coverage checks designed to help you spot gaps before you export:
You can then re-import, add missing CSVs, or manually label/adjust specific items (depending on what your platform supports).
The goal is to help you file using the most complete dataset possible.
CoinFig is designed to treat transfers between your own wallets/exchanges as transfers, not disposals—so they don't get incorrectly counted as taxable events.
It attempts to match transfers using details like timestamps, amounts, assets, and (where available) on-chain transaction references. Any uncertain matches are shown for review so you can confirm or correct them.
CoinFig supports:
If an exchange has a non-standard CSV format, you can usually map/adjust columns or use a template export (depending on your implementation). If you share the exchange name, support can confirm the fastest import route.
No. CoinFig provides calculations and reports based on the data you import and the settings you choose, but it does not provide personalised tax advice.
For complex situations (e.g., business trading, mining, staking rewards, foreign residency, or unusual transactions), you should consult a qualified tax practitioner.
Yes. You can request deletion of your CoinFig account data at any time. Once deleted, your imported exchange/wallet history and generated reports are removed from your account, subject to any limited retention required for billing, fraud prevention, or legal obligations (where applicable).
If you need a copy for your records before deleting, you can export your reports first.
